How my body works is a fabric book inspired by the children's book series of the same name.
I was interested in the graphic possibilities when discussing the workings of the body - bright coloured diagrams, strange organic forms and complex systems. Playing with size and scale, this is an illustrative exercise in book layout and narrative through an overarching theme.
The book is made from mixed media textiles, including stamps and ink, beads and ribbons with hand drawn illustrations that have been scanned from the originals and transferred to fabric.
