Mixed Media Textiles.
This piece explores the image I have of my first home, pieced together from limited early memories, photographs and family stories. I have used scraps of household fabric from my childhood (bedroom curtain, duvet, school PE bag, name tape) matched with embroidered details in the same bright colours, to suggest a joyful childhood home, full of sunshine, trips to the zoo and ice lollies on the lawn.
